Hog Island Audubon Camp Junior Instructor Position

For an early career naturalist, bird guide, and/or environmental educator.

Are you looking to boost your resume, network with birders, and gain valuable work experience? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!  Our Junior Instructor application is open for Hog Island Audubon Camp's 2023 season.  We hope to hire one early career naturalist, bird guide or environmental educator for each available week of the summer as a Junior Instructor.  This opportunity will include a paid stipend, room & board for the week, and the chance to work alongside our world-renowned instructors including ornithologists, authors, artists, and educators.  

This paid position provides each Jr. Instructor with a $650 stipend.  Junior Instructors are expected to arrive a day early to help with planning (Saturday) and stay a few hours after camp departure to wrap up the week (Friday departure no earlier than 11am).  All transportation to and from camp will be at your own expense.  All applicants must be 18 years old to apply and have graduated high school.  Early career means within 10 years of your post-graduation date from college/tech school/etc. or new career choice.  Some preference is given to past camp alumni but it is not a requirement.  All applicants must adhere to our COVID-19 Guidelines to be considered.
