Information for Hog Island Day Trip Participants

Everything you need to get ready for your program with Hog Island Audubon Camp!
All campers MUST sign a laibility waiver and photo release. 

You can download and bring it with you or you can sign a printed one from us on arrival.

If you have a dietary restriction, allergy or food related issue, please email us ASAP so we can notify the kitchen. Email Eva at eva.lark@audubon.org

Arrival:

Once you arrive we will provide name tags and collect your liability waivers.  

Please arrive on time for your Day Trip.  Here are the upcoming trips including arrival times and locations:

  • May 24, 2022 – Midcoast Maine Birding - Meet at 8am at our Mainland parking lot at the top of the hill - Directions
    • ​You can ride in our 15-passenger vans or you can caravan with your personal vehicles.
  • May 25, 2022 – Egg Rock and Hog Island Birding - Meet at 8am at our Mainland boat dock - Directions
  • May 27, 2022 – Monhegan Island Birding - $180 - CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

What to to bring on your Day Trip:

  • Binoculars and cameras
  • Please bring a water bottle as we will not be stopping to purchase drinks during the field trip.
  • A daypack is useful when you want to be hands-free
  • Clothing: Layers are essential in Maine.  A rain jacket can serve as a great outer shell for boat trips.  
  • Sturdy hiking shoes for uneven terrain
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
